Simon James Store — A Year On. It’s been over a year since the launch of Simon James’ new site, and we’re still so proud to have been involved in the process of redesigning and re-platforming this online space. A space that was meticulously designed to reflect Simon James’ well loved and carefully curated in-store experience.

As the epitome of effortless luxury, Simon James provides a one of a kind retail experience; stocking a curated and refined edit of furniture, homeware, fashion and jewellery. This site continues to be one of our favourites, with a timeless aesthetic mirroring Simon James’ signature brand style.

And now that it’s been a year, we have the perfect excuse to revisit it.

Simon James celebrates the beauty in simplicity, harnessing the power of lasting craftsmanship and honest materials to transform the spaces we live in. We designed this site, in collaboration with the Simon James design team, as a visual journey across all stages of design, serving as a digital reflection of the brand’s consciously curated showrooms.

Throughout the site, customers are given the ability to shop for fixtures and furniture, as well as learn about the various brands and designers. Streamlining the customer journey from start to finish, provides the perfect opportunity for customers to discover a new world of refined, effortless luxury across one cohesive retail experience.

This site was built on Shopify Online Store 2.0; providing an e-commerce functionality as effortless as the aesthetic. As increasing sales, both locally and internationally, was a focus for the new platform, the site needed a foundation that would accommodate future growth and expansion.

Since establishing the brand in 2001, Simon James has continued to grow; whilst maintaining its holistic and genuine approach to design. Over the last year, New Territory has continued to work closely with Simon James, implementing a few additional updates to the platform as its services have grown.

Simon James added the SJ Professionals page to its platform, which New Territory designed and developed. This new section of the website is focused on providing services to industry professionals and commercial clients; further expanding Simon James’ offerings. We also made updates to the Projects & Journal page, and integrated pixel installations for optimised tracking.

It’s always rewarding for us to collaborate with brands who share our passion for timeless design and functionality. Reinterpreting Simon James’ effortless style into a digital space was an enticing prospect for New Territory, and one we’re proud to have been a part of.

As fun as it is to look back, we’re excited for what’s ahead - and will be continuing to work alongside Simon James with the rollout of new features in 2023.
