We led the rebrand, design, and development of a new e-commerce platform for Area51, a Wellington-based fashion retailer, to modernise their digital presence and empower their in-house team. Initially focused on unlocking functionality from a restrictive previous build, the project expanded into a full creative rethink — refining the brand’s identity, eCommerce strategy, and user experience. The new site brings a clean, utilitarian sensibility to the forefront, free from sci-fi tropes, and is built on Shopify to scale with the business.

A timeless, beautiful brand with bold ambition.

We designed and developed a new e-commerce platform for With Small, an eco-led cleaning product business (formerly known as Smart Ass) to assist with their expansion from paper cleaning products to dissolvable cleaning fluid tablets. The new website is engineered to showcase the business's commitment to sustainability, innovative product development, and customer ease, driving more committed sales and functional e-commerce improvements.

Longstanding as leaders in their field, we collaborated with the globally recognised Simon James design team to redesign and re-platform the brand's online store. We dramatically improved the "back-of-house" operations by moving away from the legacy platform to Shopify Online Store 2.0.

Our team meticulously designed the new front-end to reflect Simon James' carefully curated in-store showroom experience. The platform allows customers to easily shop all facets of the business's broad yet elevated offerings, including fashion, jewelry, furniture, and more.

We've been working with Porter James Sports since its inception in 2020, producing brand collateral, physical retail experiences and ongoing digital development. We've evolved the site over time aligning to the un-presedented scaling of the business, allowing for seamless growth of the client into international markets.

Bold, innovative, and revolutionary. We’re proud to release the new cutting-edge platform for Pacific Blue Sports distribution of Beuchat, one of the oldest diving and spear fishing brands in the world.

We utilised a new brand deck by James Nielsen, creating a visually striking interface to match Beuchat’s game-changing philosophy and passion for the underwater world. The site was built on Sanity 2.0 to accommodate the range of interactive elements featured throughout the platform; including the nationwide dealer map, brand timeline and product detail page.

Tongue & Groove's new website, created in collaboration with Round, is a beautifully designed and technically advanced platform that showcases the brand's commitment to high quality wood products and sustainability. With a headless based Sanity build, the site offers seamless integration and innovative experiential features that elevate the user experience which is as inspirational as it is informative.

Working collaboratively with the Decent Packaging team, we have been able to make iterative improvements to their websites, resulting in a more user-friendly design and a better overall customer experience as their business has scaled into a global operation.

As one of New Zealand’s most premier boutiques, SHAKES had never ventured into the digital space — until now. We partnered with the fashion store to craft their first-ever online presence, delivering a brand, website design, and development that reflects their curated selection of globally renowned labels and cult status.

The new website captures the boutique’s understated yet bold aesthetic, bringing SHAKES’ unique in-store experience and rich depth of knowledge online while offering a seamless platform for showcasing their carefully selected brands.
